Dharamshala: The 9th Free Spirit Film Festival in Dharamshala will begin on Oct 21st. This 3-day long film festival would be showcasing as many as 19 films from various countries including the United States, UK, India, Ireland, Iran, Egypt, France and Bangladesh.
Several extinguished filmmakers including Sudeep Ranjan Sarkar, Prema Dhondup and Prashant Vanjani would be attending the fest in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
The youngest director participating in Free Spirit Film Festival is Ninad Kulkarni, aged 16. He was just 12 when he made a film on large scale farmers’ suicide in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
According to Lobsang Wangyal, film festival organizer, the festival is a great platform for sharing and showcasing creative works. Mr Wangyal is also < the producer & director of Miss Tibet pageant and Tibetan Music Awards.
