Hogs are coming to Chail. No, I don’t mean pigs, but “H.O.Gs” or members of the Harley Owners Group, who are having a rally from Delhi to Chail. Soon this sleepy hill station will be roaring with the thunderous sound of hundreds of Harleys. Read on to find out more.
Himachal Pradesh will soon be hosting a group of wild beasts that will thunder and growl their way up its hills. The beasts I’m talking about are Harley Davidson motorcycles which are coming to Himachal for a milestone event that will be a rare opportunity for Harley lovers in Himachal to witness this brand up close for the first time.
Harley Owners Group Ride (HOGR) is an annual event, where Harley Davidson owners come together to ride together because the only thing better than riding a Harley is riding one in a group of Harleys.
The 2nd Northern HOGR is being held this week from October 18 to 20th. The ride will start from Delhi and pass through Haryana, Punjab and end in Chail in Himachal Pradesh.
Over 250 Harleys are going to be a part of this event with riders coming in from all over India including, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahemdabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Indore and Kochi. The riders and their family members will have a short stopover at Himalayan Harley Davidson in Chandigarh before continuing on to Chail.
The riders will stay in Chail for a couple of days and take part in different activities and events including a rock band live performance, a tattoo stall and Harley Davidson merchandise stores.
This event will be the first time the H.O.Gs will come to Himachal Pradesh and enjoy the thrill of riding their superbikes on these meandering hilly roads. For some reason I have a feeling these beasty motorcycles will feel right at home in charming little Chail.
