The tourists can visit the sanctuary anytime in the year.The vegetation includes Dry Scrub forests. The wildlife includes Leopard, Blue Sheep, Musk Deer, Goral, Himalayan and Black Bear.

The months from May to November are the best time to visit the sanctuary. Trekking facilities offered in the form of trekking camps, to the adventure sport lovers by the district administration. There are many rest houses including PWD rest houses present in and around the sanctuary.
