The HRTC server is not the best server and it fails you when you need it the most. With tourist season closing in, the State Transport Corporation has decided to offer ticket booking services through post offices.

Every year thousands of tourists visit the Himalayan State and the site of the bus stands becomes even more depressing, with hundreds of passengers lined up in front of the booking counter fighting to get a ticket.

This move is welcomed by tourists, domestic as well as International. The post offices could be of great help during the tourist season. To start with, the services will be offered only for long route buses and the passenger will be charged a commission of Five Rupees per ticket booked. One can also cancel the booked tickets at the post office, a certain amount above the cancellation charges would be levied by the Post Office.

The Postal Booking service can help the locals a great deal as compared to tourists, which will eventually reduce the load at the ticket booking counters.
