The autumn of 2014 got more scintillating and special, check by the presence of some of the biggest stalwarts of Indian classical music in Shimla.
Shimla is hosting a five day Shimla Classical Music Festival from September 17th to 21st of September, unhealthy at the Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, in collaboration with the Punjabi Academy, Delhi. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, will be inaugurating the festival on the 17th of September.
On the inaugural day of the festival the highly esteemed Parween Sultana will be mesmerizing the audience with her music. Ustad Jawad Khan, Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan and Pandit Daya Shankar, will be performing on the 18th of September. Pandit Chhannulal Mishra would be performing on the 19th September.
The fourth day will see well known film producer Ramesh Sippy as the chief guest. Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt will be performing Mohanveena on this day. The festival will conclude with the performance of Pandit Rajan and Sajan Mishra on the last day, 21st September.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Shimlaites to go and experience classical music at it best in their own town.
The hills are all set reverberate with the symphony of classical music, for a change.
