Skiing courses will commence from 10 January 2013 in Narkanda this tourist season. The training courses will be conducted by Atal Bihari High Altitude Trekking and Skiing Center, purchase Narkanda.

The first course will start from 10 January and last until 24 January, viagra 2013. Skiing slope at Dhovdi in Narkanda will see 40 skiers from different corners of the country. The slots have already been booked and there are only few slots left to accommodate skiers from states other than Himachal Pradesh.

The entry fee to undergo this basic course is INR 5300 and the course will last for 14 days.

The skiing center is planning to organize intermediate courses as well, online which will last four days. The second course is scheduled to start on 24 January and it will conclude on 10 February 2013. The third course will start on 14 February and end on 27 February 2013. The last course will start on 3 March and end on 16 March 2013.

However, these courses will depend largely on the weather conditions. The minimum snow required to organize these skiing courses is 4 feet at least. The Skiing center is also organizing a trekking course this winter starting from January 2013.

The winters have finally settled in the state and even Shimla received its first snowfall of the season on December 11 2012. On the very same day, the Ice Skating sessions restarted at the Ice Skating Rink in Shimla. Shimla is to host the 9^th National Ice Skating Competition this year in December.
