Raj Mahal Palace
At an arms distance form MH-21, and right in the middle of the city of Mandi, you are sure to be recommended to visit this joint, on asking the locals. It’s an old palace that is situated away from the noise and the crowds in the city. It has a well kept garden, with tracks from the 80’s and 90’s playing in the background. A lovely place to have an early morning breakfast, while breathing in the fresh mountain air and also ideal for a late night dinner if your don’t mind a few mosquitoes.
Food is evenly priced, with large portions, as a golden rule when travelling in the hills, always stick to the regulars. Small towns and motels are not the ideal place to try something new. The customer service needs a special mention, as the staff is eager to serve and please. Well placed to explore the city around.
