“The rally will pass by some of our most loved tourism hotspots like the world-class ski resort at Auli, and Ramnagar, which flanks the Jim Corbett National Wildlife Park,” said Mr Panwar.

In order to ensure that there are no traffic disruptions, Uttarakhand Adventure Car Rally will follow the Time- Speed-Distance (TSD) format. This is the sober form of motorsport that allows competitors to go slow in thickly populated areas, and stick to specified speed limits at all times.

The rally will touch some of the most beautiful tourist hotspots of the hill state. Starting out from here on 2nd February the vehicles move to Dev Prayag, Karan Prayag, Rudra Prayag, Nand Prayag and to the ski resort of Auli.

New laid out roads takes the motor rally from Auli to Ramnagar on the second day when it also passes by the well conserved Tiger reserve Jim Corbett National Wildlife Park. On day three the rally ends back at Dehradun.

Mr Vijay Parmar, president Himalayan Motorsport who is organizing the rally said, “After the popular Himalayan Rally, motorsport on a smaller scale has been re-started in
Uttarakhand.”

The Himalayan Rally that used to pass through Uttarakhand was last organized about 25 years ago.
